Panasonic has made available a new firmware package compatible with its LUMIX SZ10 (DMC-SZ10) digital camera, namely version 1.2, which resolves a rare bug that caused pictures to become dark when shooting.
Therefore, if you have been encountering this problem and want to get rid of it, first check out the camera’s current firmware, and make sure it isn’t newer than the present release.
To do so, press “MODE,” go to Normal Picture > Setup Menu > Version Disp. and compare the 1.2 update with yours. If all is ok, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and transfer the “CK36400.elf” file onto a formatted memory card.
Now, make sure the camera’s battery is fully charged, turn off the unit, insert the newly-prepared SD card, and press the Power button while pushing the zoom lever to the wide side. Afterward, just agree with the firmware upgrade, and wait patiently as the device is doing the job.
Even though this seems easy, bear in mind that removing the SD Card/Battery, turning off the camera, or interrupting the installation in any way will lead to serious device malfunctions.
That said, download Panasonic DMC-SZ10 Camera Firmware 1.2, carefully apply it in your imaging unit and check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
