DVDShrink is an open-source and a freeware tool that is used to backup your DVD discs. DVDShrink has ability for both re-authoring and re-encoding a movie. It is simple and has a user friendly-interface with various options that can be use to back up your DVD data into your hard drive. You can also burn the files onto your DVDs and use this as DVD burning software. The output file from DVDShrink can be saved on your hard drive. Most of the DVDs are designed to prevent you from making copies and encrypts it.
Commercial DVD titles are regularly encrypted that protects you from being copied or unauthorized access. DVDShrink comes with built-in decryption algorithms that let you access the entire encrypted DVD’s easily. DVDShrink resolves this problem by compressing or shrinking the data from your original DVD and also renames your DVD.
DVDShrink lets you make your own compilation from one or more source DVDs or selecting only the parts of a DVD that you want to view. This software has the ability to generate an ISO image of the ripped DVD or a video-TS folder that can be used later for processing, viewing or burning. DVDShrink is simple to use and easily can take backup from your hard drive to DVD disc by just inserting DVD disc onto your PC.
